About This Music
When I served as the Director of
Music at Southside Baptist Church, we used “The Baptist Hymnal” ©1991 in much of our worship service. It contains many classic hymns as well as some more
contemporary music, which incorporate nicely into the worship of our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ. As Lloyd Elder
states in the Preface to “The Baptist Hymnal”: Christians have always
been a singing people of God and Southern Baptists have contributed to that
tradition significantly. The Baptist Hymnal will not only support that
tradition, but enrich it. The files presented here were
created using “NoteWorthy” music software. They are in a MIDI file format so the
sound of them may vary on different computers depending on the MIDI software
and sound card that you are using. The hymns here are played in the same key
and have the same number of verses as the music which is printed in “The
Baptist Hymnal” ©1991. The files are available in MIDI
format and can be downloaded by right clicking on them and selecting the
“save as” option or you can just left click on them and listen to them here. Copyright Information
